We are pleased to share reports submitted by some of our Alumni Clubs for Chronicle 2026. We currently have over 50 active Special Interest Clubs and Alumni Clubs, providing networks for our St Andrews graduates around the world. If you are interested in helping to run one of our existing clubs, or in starting one of your own, please contact us at [email protected].

University of St Andrews Alumni Club, Cambridge

Our friendly group, comprising a variety of graduation dates, continues to offer a range of events to alumni in and around Cambridge. This year, we enjoyed our February Snowdrop Walk at Anglesey Abbey with lunch afterwards. We are planning a summer outing, welcome drinks to greet graduates new to the Cambridge area in the autumn and our annual St Andrew’s Day lunch. If you are in the area and would like to join, we would love to welcome you to the group.

This year members took part in my new invention, five-a-side tennis, held two darts competitions, and have been busy trying to visit every cafe in Oxford (14 so far). We also attended six live lunchtime classical music concerts, shared tips on cost of living issues, went to the amazing Harcourt Arboretum Novice hedge-laying competition, and were in the audience for free lectures at the University of Oxford on the ‘The Powers of Activism’ and ‘The AI Revolution’. New members are always welcome.

University of St Andrews Alumni Club, Toronto

The University of St Andrews Alumni Club, Toronto, met in 2025 to enjoy a Burns Supper and to celebrate St Andrew’s Day together. For our Burns Supper, 15 people gathered to celebrate with a colourful Address to a Haggis performed by Graham, with others ready to step in should he falter. The haggis was prepared by James (as usual) and was served with other wonderful food and desserts. In 2026, we are looking to collaborate on events with the local St Andrew’s Society and to establish a pub night every other month. To connect and keep updated about Club events, join our LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

A St Andrew’s Day alumni gathering was once again held at the rooftop bar of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Perth on 2 December 2025. Only a core group was able to make it but we nevertheless enjoyed a good catch-up. Please mark your diaries and plan to come along.

On Monday 15 December, the Club hosted its inaugural Christmas dinner. Held at Classico Trattoria, the evening brought together alumni who shared fond memories of their years at St Andrews and reflected on their professional and personal aspirations for life in Milan. A beautifully prepared menu featuring risotto allo zafferano, cotoletta alla Milanese and mondeghili created a warm and festive atmosphere for this first Christmas gathering. The success of the evening sets a promising tone for a 2026 filled with new initiatives and events for the Milan Club.
